Salani Surf Resort

Rich in waves and local spirit, Samoa is definitely one to tick off the bucket list. And what better way to experience it all than at Salani Surf Resort? Here you'll be keeping the crowds in the water to a minimum while having the opportunity to immerse yourself in the island's natural beauty.

Salani Surf Resort is situated on the mouth of the Mulivai Fagatoloa River, between the base of a lush tropical jungle basin, crystal blue lagoon and next to the rural and still very traditional Salani village.

Salani Surf Resort is a Polynesian haven for surfers and offers eight bungalows (Fale). With its pristine river mouth location, Salani enjoys a world-class consistent right and a challenging left directly out front. Or, you can take a quick boat or 4WD trip to other world-class breaks in close proximity. Salani Surf Resort is famous for its friendly Samoan hospitality and amazing surf all year round.

The Samoan paradise includes:

  • Return Airport transfers
  • 7 nights A/C bungalow accommodation
  • All meals
  • Filtered water
  • Unlimited surfing at Salani Right & Left by resort boat
  • Use of non-surfing equipment and kayaks

Crystal clear warm water, tropical weather and surfing in board shorts with a handful of people and plenty of barrels for everyone. At the end of an exhausting day in the surf, relax in a hammock and sip cocktails or a bottle of Vailima, Samoa's very own gold medal winning beer.

Samoa is renowned for its hospitality and inviting culture. Family is everything in Samoa and the strong community presence is felt everywhere, adding an Eden-like atmosphere to this natural paradise. With such an amazing cultural atmosphere, visitors are strongly encouraged to embrace village life and the enriching Fa’a Samoa (Samoan Culture). You will have sore cheeks from smiling and sore arms from waving to the friendly locals.

Salani's surf guides will get you safely into the best waves and return safely to shore having had a dream session. All boatmen are lifeguard and first aid trained (CPR), and the three boats (19ft, 23ft and 25ft) feature modern safety measures and back-up equipment.  Salani has access to a number of breaks around the island with the left and right being only a five minute boat ride, right out front.  You could paddle but with the boats running from dawn 'til dusk, then you might as well take advantage! After all, you are on holidays - you deserve it. Some of the waves include: Salani Right, Salani Left, The Island, Rusty's, Boulders, and Tiavea Bay. One to note is that Salani's waves are not able to be surfed on Sunday. While you have access to other waves around the island, the church service is a great experience even for those who aren't religious.
